The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme is an integrative, participant-centred approach to stress management and to date is the longest standing, most successful and well-researched stress reduction programme worldwide. The programme was founded in 1979 by Emeritus Professor of Medicine Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre.














MBSR
The next 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programme will be in February 2018.

Weekly Meditations
We hold weekly meditations at the Nahoon Mouth Bowling Club every Wednesday morning from 07h30 - 08h15.  All welcome to attend. A donation is asked to cover the cost of the hire of the hall, while the rest is donated to various charities.
Barbara teaches Qi Kung from 08h15-09h00 which is followed by Tai Chi until 10h00. 
There is no meditation or Tai Chi during school holidays.



Reading Group for Professionals
There is a CPD-accredited monthly reading group for health professionals examining the latest literature and research relating to the interplay between mindfulness and therapy and health.  For more information, contact us via the 'Contact Us' page.

Mindfulness in Education
We have a group for interested teachers who have a background in Mindfulness who would like to be in a group which is exploring taking mindfulness into East London classrooms. Send us a message via the Contact Us page if you would like more information.

Wisdom and Compassion
Former monk, Ray Schone, will lead monthly meditations and talks on the first Monday of each month at Bellafides school opposite Floradale Nursery from 17h45-19h00.  A donation of R50 is asked which will help contribute to his work with rural children YOUPSA.
